Scalp Micro-pigmentation replicates the look of the hair follicle by using pointillism techniques. We use equipment different from traditional tattooing, ensuring the ink, needle, and machine are specifically for scalp micro-pigmentation.
Three main differences between SMP and Tattoos:
- We deposit pigment into the skin at a more superficial depth than tattoos, only about 2mm into the dermis.
- Using the pointillism method, we strictly make small micro dots, not shading or drawing lines.
- We use only a BLENDZ black pigment, which is more diluted than typical tattoo inks. For this reason, it won’t break down into different colors or look too saturated once healed.

AFTER-PROCEDURE
Hats can hold bacteria. We recommend not wearing hats for 24-48 hours after each procedure.
We recommend no scrubbing or shampooing over the treated area for 4-5 days after your scalp micro-pigmentation procedure.
Most of our clients wear a freshly shaved or “buzz-cut” look. Shave every 3-5 days, and save a fortune on barber visits. Letting your hair grow will give away the secret!
We recommend no heavy sweating or intense exercise for 4-5 days after your scalp micro-pigmentation procedure.
